Men's Tennis Falls To UConn, 6-1

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College men's tennis team was by defeated the University of Connecticut Huskies, 6-1, on Tuesday, April 9 in Providence, R.I.

The Huskies swept the doubles matches and captured five of the six singles matches to improve to 12-7 overall and 2-3 in the spring. The Friars' lone win came at No. 5 singles as senior co-captain Pat Moynihan (Queensbury, N.Y.) outlasted Mike Louis (New York, N.Y.), 6-4, 7-5, 7-6 (11-9).

The Friars, who fell to 6-8 overall and 3-8 in the spring, return to action on Saturday, April 13 as they travel to play St. John's.
