Men's Tennis Defeats Lake Superior State, 5-2

The Providence College men's tennis team earned its first win of the spring season by defeating Lake Superior State, 5-2, on Tuesday, March 5 in Orlando, Fla.

The Friars captured five of the six singles matches en route to the win. Senior Matthew Jarvis (Fairhaven, Mass.) posted a 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 win at No. 1 singles, while Craig Roslund (Huntington, N.Y.) won at the No. 2 spot in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2. Roslund and Jarvis combined to win at No. 1 doubles, 8-4.

With the win, the Friars improved to 4-4 overall and 1-4 in the spring season.
