The Providence College women's tennis team defeated Fairfield, 7-0, on Thursday, March 7 in Orlando, Fla.
The Friars swept all singles matches in straight sets as they recorded their second win of the Florida trip. Seniors Brooke Rubin (Cranston, R.I.), Gina Vlasek (Atlanta, Ga.) and Erin Haley (Johnston, R.I.) all won at No. 1, 2, and 3 singles, respectively. Freshman Lindsey Christensen (Northboro, Mass.) posted her first win of the spring season as she captured a 6-3, 6-4 decision at the No. 6 spot.
PC improved to 7-5 overall and 3-3 in the spring.
