Men's Hockey Ranked No. 11 in Both National Polls

PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- The Providence College men's hockey team is ranked No. 11 in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine College poll and the U.S. College Hockey Online poll, which were released on Monday, November 11. The Friars received one first place vote in the USCHO poll.

The Friars, who had won a school record seven consecutive games to begin the season, were defeated by Northeastern on Friday, November 8 in Boston, Mass. PC rebounded on Saturday, November 12 and defeated the Huskies, 4-3, at Schneider Arena.

Boston College climbed to No. 1, while New Hampshire moved to the second spot in both polls. Denver, who was ranked No. 1 last week, dropped to No. 3 after being defeated, 3-2, by Minnesota-Duluth on Friday, November 8.

The Friars will host the top-ranked Boston College Eagles on Tuesday, November 12 at Schneider Arena.
