BOSTON, Mass. -- Northeastern University Huskies scored one goal in each period and defeated the Providence College Friars, 3-0, in women's ECAC hockey quarterfinals action on Saturday, March 13 at Boston, Mass.

Hilary Wit tallied the first goal of the game during a power-play at 8:35 of the first period. Brooke Whitney scored one goal in the second and one in the third to seal the win for the Huskies.

Erika Silva recorded 20 stops in the win for Northeastern. Sara DeCosta registered 34 saves for the Friars in the loss.

With the win, Northeastern raised its record to 25-6-3, while Providence College finished its season with a 19-12-3 record.
