In Sunday's single game, the Friars pounded out 14 hits on the way to a 13-3 win over the Davidson Wildcats.

The Friars scored three runs in three separate innings to improve the Friars to 2-1 on the young season. Davidson falls to 3-6 oveall.

Junior catcher Scott Friedholm and sophomore outfielder Keith Reed provided most of the offense as junior transfer Josh Burnham went six innings to pick up his first win as a Friar. Burnham scattered five hits while striking out four and walking three.

Friedholm was three-for-three in the game with his first home run of the season and three rbi's. Reed was also three-for-three in the game with a three-run homer, a sacrifice fly and an rbi single. Second basemanPaul Costello and third baseman Jeremy Sweet each drove in two runs in the game.

The Friars return to action on Friday, February 27th when they travel to Montgomery, Alabama to play in the Blue-Gray Classic with Troy State University, Michigan State and the University of Iowa. PC opens the round robin tournament with Troy State on Friday.
