Baseball Takes a Break Due to Weather

PROVIDENCE, R.I.--The Providence College Friars and Notre Dame Fighting Irish baseball teams waited an hour and 30 minutes before Saturday's doubleheader in Providence was cancelled due to sleet, snow and cold temperatures.

The game will not be made up since Notre Dame travels to Connecticut for two games on Sunday and the Friars travel to UConn on Monday for a twinbill. For Providence this is the second game this week that has been lost to the weather. Wednesday's game with Rhode Island was postponed until Monday, April 6th at 3:00 p.m.
