1993 Women's Soccer BIG EAST Champions Honored

PROVIDENCE, R.I. - On Sunday, October 20, Providence College athletics celebrated the 20th Anniversary of the 1993 women's soccer BIG EAST Championship Team.

Members of the 1993 team and their families were welcomed back to campus for a luncheon to celebrate their historic season and were honored during halftime of the varsity game vs. St. Johns.

The 1993 season was highlighted with regular season wins over Duke and Villanova. Advancing to the BIG EAST Tournament, the Friars were led by BIG EAST Tournament MVP Jennifer Mead as they defeated Boston College and UCONN on their way to becoming BIG EAST Champions.

The 1993 BIG EAST Champions are:
